The new Wizard School scarf is black and features a grouping of all four “House” colors at each end of the scarf.

Hand-tied fringe trims the 100% acrylic, machine washable and dryable scarf.

To create a vibrant color contrast against the black background, the individual stripes are the green and blue of the original wizard scarves and the maroon and old gold from the trapped bar scarves.

The double layer of knit fabric adds warmth and body to this long, boldly striped scarf.

We also carry a "Special Edition" scarf, in a dusty blue and bronze color combination, especially designed for those wizards who prefer to stay true to the book.

Also available is the Wizard School scarf featuring colors from all four "Houses".

Traditionally, the school scarf [be it for wizard school or public school] has been an optional accessory as compared to the other specific, regulation school uniform items such as dark grey trousers, knife-pleated skirts, v-neck pullover sweaters, striped tie, white shirts and collars, grey socks and black shoes.

If a scarf is to be worn, it must be in the official boarding house, school or team colors. Hobbie's day house colors were Navy, Light Blue and White but that's another story!

Hobbie's Wizard Scarf in old gold and black Knit in various lengths, the wizard scarf is designed to be proportionate to a range of heights so as to fit everyone from children to adults.

The wizard scarf can be wrapped all the way around your neck and still have hang down to mid-thigh. It's width also varies according to the length.

It can be folded over and still be wide enough to cover your neck and show off your favorite team, boarding or day house colors.

Each scarf is carefully crafted and trimmed with a hand tied fringe. Several finishing steps result in a soft, draping scarf you'll enjoy wearing all the time.

The Wizard Scarf is available in three styles:

  • The original wizard scarf with wide, even stripes is available in all four original, CoS color combinations [red/gold, green/silver, blue/silver and yellow/black]and in the darker, PoA colors of maroon/old gold, dark green/pewter, dark blue/silver and old gold/black. This scarf is also available in a blue/bronze color combination we call the "Special Edition".

  • The "trapped bar" wizard scarf is available in maroon/old gold, dark green/pewter grey, dark blue/silver and old gold/black. It is also available in a book version - dark blue/bronze and the original, brighter wizarding colors.

  • The OOTP ribbed, trapped bar scarf. This scarf is trimmed with a short, looped fringe.

    High School, University or sports team colors why not have the wizard scarf knit in custom colors?

    Have it knit to match a favorite coat or jacket, in wizard house colors or your favorite sports team colors. You can even ask to have it knit as a "skinny" scarf!

    Please note that the Wizard Scarf is made to order just for YOU with somewhat shorter turn around times.

    If possible and within reason, we work with all our customers to accomodate delivery dates for events such as birthdays and events which are not listed in the shopping cart. Please contact us prior to placing the order to make sure we can fit it in the production schedule.
