Shipping day has arrived!

When ready to ship, your sweater or scarf is carefully folded and packaged in a clear plastic bag to protect against dust and moisture. This fold-lock bag can also be used to store your wizard wear knits.

Continental U.S. Orders

US orders ship by Priority Mail. We ship 7 days a week, including after business hours. Orders shipped after hours or during the weekend ship the following business day.

Priority Mail shipping rates are based upon approximate weight of single or combination orders and the buyer's zip code.

The day your item ships, you will receive an email automatically generated by the US Postal Service (www.usps.com) at the shipper's request. This applies only to shipments with destinations within the continental United Staes. The email reads as follows:

Dear Customer,

Below is the Delivery Confirmation number you need to determine the delivery status of your package.

Delivery Confirmation Number 0--------------- Your package is scheduled for shipment on 0/00/0000 [the day your item is shipped].

Any reply to this email will not be received by the USPS or shipper. The USPS has not collected or retained any personal information that would identify you or your purchase from this email.

In either case, it takes about 12-24 hours for any details to show up in the Post Office tracking "system".

Using the Delivery Confirmation number supplied in the email, you can then track and confirm the status of your shipment.

Transit time via US Priority Mail averages 2-3 business days but can take somewhat longer depending on your location and whether the package was shipped early in the day, after the last pickup or after hours.

Effective February 12, 2008, "Signature Confirmation" has been added to our shipping services. In this way, we can not only verify delivery but also verify who accepted your package if it is someone other than the addressee.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers but it will hopefully eliminate "lost" packages labeled as delivered by the Post Office and the need for us to "prove" that a package was actually shipped.

Delivery Confirmation™ confirms that the package was delivered but Signature Confirmation™ will provide proof of delivery and give us an added level of security by requiring a signature from the person who accepts your package.

We want to be sure that your package reaches not just the right address, but the right hands as well.

With Signature Confirmation, we will receive confirmation of delivery including date, time and location - and a "proof of delivery" letter will be emailed to us.

Completed wizard wear orders are sent to the shipping address provided on the order form submitted through PayPal. It is the customer's resposibility to advise us if the given shipping address will become invalid at some point in the near future.

Any package which cannot be forwarded will eventually be returned to us.

Using the Delivery Confirmation™ number assigned to each package, we verify shipment and track the delivery status of each package. Signature Confirmation™ will verify that the addressee accepted the package.

Canadian/European Orders

Canadian orders ship by Air Mail Letter Post service, an economical International shipping method. Please allow approximately 4-10 business days, plus a "customs hold", for delivery of most Canadian/European orders. Shipping rates are based upon approximate weight of single or combination orders and start at $8.50.

Shipping cost varies depending on the total weight of the item[s] you ordered.

International Orders for Asia/Australia

International orders worldwide also ship by Air Mail Letter Post service. When ordering, please allow up to 2 weeks or more for delivery of most orders to Asia/Australia although some orders have been delivered to Australian addresses in as little as 6 business days.

Shipments to Australia take 4-7 business days. As an example, a medium sized scarf and medium sweater cost about $15.00 to ship to Australia due to the combined weight.

Shipments to Singapore take 4-7 business days. A small sweater costs about $11.50 to ship to this destination.

Shipping rates start at $10.00. They are based upon the weight of a single or combination order.

Customs Clearance for International Orders:

At Hobbie's, we welcome international orders. In fact, Hobbie's wizard students can be found in Europe, Asia and even in Australia!

Our shopping cart does not calculate accurate shipping costs for International orders.

We can provide approximate quotes for US Postal Service Airmail Letter Post shipping options upon request. Please send us an email using the "Contact Us" form, listing the item[s] you would like to purchase and the shipping destination. We will reply with a quote for shipping costs.

Please note that international orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches your country.

The customer is responsible for any additional charges for customs clearance.

Hobbie's House of Wizard Wear does not have any control over these charges, nor can we predict what the total charges may be or how long the package will remain in Customs before being released. From recent experience, this "customs hold" period can vary from days to a couple weeks.

Customs clearance policies vary widely from country to country so please contact your local customs office for more information.

Please also note that when ordering from Hobbie's House of Wizard Wear, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the merchandise.

US Postal Service customs forms for all international packages list the contents and value of your order by merchandise type. As an example, Hobbie's describes our merchandise as follows: Scarf [acrylic or wool]; sweater [acrylic or wool] and assigns a "value" to said merchadise. Any additional custom clearance charges you incur are based upon this assigned merchandise value.

For reference purposes, a Large scarf weighs approximately 1.5 lbs., a Men's X-Large school sweater also weighs nearly 1.5 lbs and a Large Sports Team Sweater weighs over 2 lbs.
