The "PoA" Style School Sweater
Just when we thought we had the Wizard School costume components all squared away, a new school sweater was introduced in the "PoA" movie. It took everyone by surprise. Some wizard students like it, and others still prefer the original "CoS" style school sweater but since it's introduction, the "PoA" styled sweater has become a favorite. The new school sweater is darker - a dark charcoal grey that is almost black. This charcoal grey with lots of character is an ideal background for the new, contrasting trim colors. The new "house" colors are darker and richer too...maroon and old gold, a dark "forest" green with pewter grey, a dark "marine" blue with silver grey and old gold with black. Nothing has changed at Wizard School however. The corridors and classrooms are still drafty; there is still a chill in the air so you'll be glad to know that the new school sweater, knit in a sports-weight wool yarn, will keep you warm and toasty. Wool is an incredible, natural fiber. It holds its shape and color too. We do recommend dry cleaning!

The YarnA high quality, dark charcoal grey [very near black], 100% wool. The trim colors are also 100% pure new wool.
Please note that, by default, the new, "PoA" styled school sweater is knit in 100% wool, unless otherwise indicated in the "Optional Instructions" section of the shopping cart during the Paypal ordering process.
The DesignThe new school sweater is another traditional style of school uniform sweater. It is designed as a solid colored, ribbed V-neckline pullover with boarding house colors along the bottom of the sweater body and the bottom of the sleeves - just above the ribbed bands.The "house" stripe is knit in a light/dark/light sequence but also in a narrow/wide/narrow pattern - slightly different than the even, mini-stripes of the original school sweater.
The ColorsThey are as authentic as possible and subject to change if found not to be!
The *New Style* School Sweater is available in a wide range of standard sizes which can all be customized for a nearly perfect fit. Please note that each sweater is made to order just for YOU. Be sure to indicate your choice of yarn when ordering! We knit the sweaters according to the specifics printed on the order form unless you let us know otherwise before the order is processed. The sweater is available as a long sleeve, pullover sweater or as a vest - knit in wool or a dull black acrylic yarn. By default, the vest features solid colored armbands.

Wool you say? If wool gives you the "itchies" or an allergic reaction, consider having this new style sweater knit up using a black acrylic yarn...or maybe the regulation charcoal grey yarn used for the original school sweater.
