Finished Measurements in Centimeters


International sizes - British and Continental - are very different from American sizes. In addition to being labeled in centimeters [2.54 cm to one inch], sizing can also vary greatly among various manufacturers.

For the convenience of our many international customers and to compare the garment size they are accustomed to buying versus the size of Hobbie's knitwear for children and adults, we converted all finished sweater measurements into centimeters.

Please note that adjustments can be made to any of the measurements as well as the *fit* - from our standard semi-fitted ease of approximately 10 to 11.5 cm [4 to 4.5 inches of ease] to fitted [less wearing ease] or average [more wearing ease].

These charts are for woven fabrics rather than knits so please use them only as a general guide. Please also note that style, fit and other factors affect how a garment actually fits you regardless of the size.
