In fact, many of Hobbie's wizards wear their sweaters to school or to the office - and not just on Halloween. For 2008 and 2009, the most popular item of wizard wear was the Order of the Phoenix© styled cardigan, followed closely by the Prisoner of Azkaban© styled pullover sweater. During January 2012, the original Quidditch® styled sweater rose to the top of the list as most popular item of "wizard wear".However...and much to our surprise, the actual winner in quantity, and throughout the year, is a "special request" - a custom designed sweater not even related to the world of Harry Potter©: our reproduction of the sweater and scarf set worn by Mark Cohen in the ever popular Broadway musical "RENT". In 2010 and 2011, it was still our most popular request. In 2012, the trend continues...
Last year, we "retired" several items and will continue this practice as time goes on. Retired products are replaced by new, "special request" items of costuming knitwear or dropped completely from our product line. But...if you happen to be looking for one of those retired products, just drop us a line.
The Wizard Wear CollectionThe choice is yours...the original style with wide, even stripes and long fringe; the trapped bar style with the short fringe or the ribbed, "PoA" style with a short, looped fringe. Hobbie's Wizard Wear scarf comes in two widths and several lengths. Select custom colors for your high school, university or sports team.
Worn under school robes...the Wizard School pullover sweater is available in all House color combinations and in both the CoS or original style and the Prisoner of Azkaban®.
Cardigans are knit in heirloom quality, 100% wool or easy care, 100% acrylic. A full range of standard sizes for wizard of all ages, with individual, custom sizes also available upon request.
The sweaters are custom knit in 2 different styles and 8 color combinations! The original Chamber of Secrets© styled Sports Team Sweater in bright colors and the newer, PoA Team Sweater, in darker, richer colors.
Knee socks in a *trapped bar* stripe pattern to match the Team Sweater are popular with wizards everywhere.
For the wee wizards...Wizard School CoS and PoA styled sweaters, as well as sport team sweaters in all color combinations. Hobbie's scarves are proportionally sized for younger wizards.
