This Halloween...Be a Wizard!
Halloween and costumes, especially wizard costumes, go hand in hand...At Hobbie's House, it has become an event – dare we say a neighborhood event. Detailed planning plays an important role in the overall success of a well-developed Halloween theme. At Hobbie's House, getting ready for Halloween requires several meetings and becomes quite involved with sets and preparations taking days to complete. The storage area normally reserved for holiday decorations now also houses an ever-growing assortment of elaborate standards - the fog machines, strobe lights, incredibly realistic skeletons, specially recorded music, and a variety of other accessories such as the creeping, severed hands, which come out only on fright night.
We'll rephrase that statement to specify that no one at Hobbie’s House outgrew Halloween. We now have as much fun preparing to give others, especially our littlest elves, as memorable a Halloween experience as we had when all of Hobbie's Elves were younger. Don't forget your camera! How do you make the elves or wizards pose for a photo?? Better yet, how do you make them smile? Tricks of the photography trade! Let the costume wearer, whatever the age group, do his/her own thing and you will be rewarded with fabulous photos to add to your albums or scrapbooks.
