Frequently Asked Question 3

With "frequently asked question 3" you may very well find the answer to your question.

Although many submitted questions are associated with specific orders, there are occasions when Customer Service receives questions we deem to be of interest to all potential customers.

As a result, we made it possible for you, the visitor, to automatically post your topic related questions to this page.

As with the Frequently Asked Question 3 page, each question you submit will become a new page on our site. We will post a response on your page and anyone can comment or add questions.

Please note that this page is reserved for generic, "Wizard Wear" related questions.

For frequently asked questions directly related to specific orders, please contact Customer Service.

A directory of topic related questions and answers will build automatically at the bottom of the Frequently Asked Question 3 page. Please keep the submission related to our wizard wear. We reserve the right to delete unacceptable and/or off topic submissions.

Be sure to check our site blog for the latest announcements. Not only does the site blog update automatically when we make a change to any page on our website but the "What's New?" blog is where we will make major announcements affecting all customers.

When was my package shipped?

Our frequently asked question 3 is... "I placed an order a few days ago. When was the item shipped?"

Please note that all our products are custom made to order. It is one of the very first bits of information visible to all visitors throughout our website. When selecting a product to add to the Shopping Cart, this information is also clearly posted, in red, within every descriptive paragraph in our Store.

We are officially busy all year around. Although we may be considered a "seasonal" type business, many of our products are not related to Harry Potter© or Halloween. As a result, we receive orders on a regular basis.

To avoid any misunderstandings, and disappointment, about our delivery schedule, please take a few minutes to review our re-structured turn around time policy.

Each customer selects a delivery date when completing an order in the Store's Shopping Cart. It is literally impossible to submit an order through the Shopping Cart without selecting a delivery date. Although the actual turn around time may be shorter, the posted delivery date is at a minimum 8-10 weeks.

To check on the status of your order, please refer to our public Order Status Calendar. Please note that it will not appear on the calendar unless it is literally "In Progress".

Turn around time is now divided into "delivery dates" corresponding to major events and dates such as Halloween and Christmas. As production time slots for a particular time frame are booked with incoming orders, we adjust delivery dates to reflect the order volume. When a posted delivery date is "booked", we remove it from the drop down menu in the Shopping Cart.

Our aim is to maintain the level of quality which has been our stock in trade during 30 years in the custom knitting business and which you have come to anticipate. Multiple item orders take longer to complete. Depending on the number of multiple item orders we receive in any given period, we may remove a posted delivery date earlier than anticipated.

Please note that Hobbie's wizard wear sweaters, socks and scarves are custom made to order.

We receive numerous orders perday from a variety of sources...not just Hobbie's House. Each order is processed according to the date and time on which it was received.

Orders can be for single or multiple items. As an example, 2 to 5 orders can actually represent a total of 4 to 12 individual sweaters, socks and scarves. Each individual item is assigned a production slot.
