Order Status Calendar

Hobbie's public working calendar...

Customers can now check Hobbie's House production schedule for the status of their order.

This is the easiest and fastest way to get the most current information about our production schedule and an order status.

Orders are identified either by order number or ID and by general destination.

Production slots are blocked off and labeled as Booked as the orders come in.

Please note than the status calendar does not necessarily display In Progress orders in a strict consecutive sequence.

Why is this? During the height of the Harry Potter® phenomena, many sweater orders were received at least 6 to 8 months in advance, with the vast majority due for popular delivery dates such a movie premieres, book releases and Halloween.

Technically, these orders were ahead in the numerical sequence of all incoming orders. Customers were simply assuring their place in the production queue.

Currently, we deliver orders on a monthly schedule. As the orders come in, we fill the production slots, allowing for the minimum turn around time. Once those slots are booked, we advance the delivery date to the following month.

Unless delivery is required for a specific date [as requested by RENT® theater productions for the lead character], outstanding orders are completed in numerical sequence, for delivery during the month.

Although we cannot specify a day on which the order will be received, it will be received during that particular month.

There are times when we opt to work on and complete newer, small orders to make the most efficient use of our materials or the production schedule. This does not affect the overall delivery schedule.

Order Status Labels

The "In Progress" label indicates that the order has been started and is currently in either the pattern drafting stage, the knitting stage or final assembly stage.

Since 2007, and particularly in 2010, the majority of our orders are for the RENT® sweater and scarf set and certain In Progress orders represent 4 to 8 or more individual items.

As a result, the production slots, as indicated by the Booked label, fill up very quickly.

The "In Progress" status label remains in place until the entire order is completed.

Two or more consecutive orders, submitted by a single customer, within minutes of each other or a couple days apart, and destined for the same shipping address, will be viewed as a single, multiple item order. In fact, the only result is that the customer pays two separate shipping charges! These separate orders will be also be labeled "In Progress" until all items are ready to ship.

International orders do not receive automatic notification emails from the US Post Office. International customers receive an email specifying the Customs Declaration number associated with their package.

When ample lead time is available, we contact the customer 3 times [over the extended period of time]. This is where it is extremely important that you communicate with us using an email you check daily. If we do not receive any response to these tracked queries, the order is automatically refunded in full and considered "cancelled".
When the selected delivery date is approaching and the customer does not respond to our email queries, we may opt to proceed with the order as submitted although the specs seem inaccurate. Under these circumstances, all sales are final. Refunds will not be issued.

We recommend customers subscribe to the RSS feed for our working calendar. Be sure to click on the "Look for earlier events" link to fully expand the calendar. It is easier to read the calendar using the "Agenda" tab.
